I remember in the post 9/11 fervor, your know, right after everyone was done being unified and those on the left started reapplying some common sense, the right responded by instantly questioning their patriotism. Some dipshit Republican Congressmen questioned the patriotism of Captain America because while he was fighting a terrorist, his adversary starts monologueing...
Atrocities this... American Imperialism that... Naturally Cap beat his ass afterward... but what was the reason for the Republican's beef with Cap? Our hero didn't say anything back...

WTF? That's it? He's out there fighting terrorists, dodging bullets and bombs in service to his country and your gonna call him out form not offering up some cheesy comeback? Did this idiot ever actually read comic books as a kid?

If your opponent has any kind of tactical advantage and he starts taunting you... just let him. He will become so self-absorbed in his diatribe that he will make the critical villain error of not concentrating all his efforts on killing the guy coming to kick his ass. Not to mention if he has lost site of you at all, yelling back at him because he's made you mad is a really stupid thing to do... it gives away your location. That's fine for someone who is nigh invincible - like Superman... but Captain America isn't bullet proof. How would it be more patriotic to hand the terrorist more opportunities to try and kill you? And one more thing...

HE CAPTAIN FUCKING AMERICA!!! He fought in World War II, he wears Red White and Blue stars and stripes in the middle of a fucking battlefield! That alone makes him the most patriotic mutherfucker on Earth by default! Period!
