Only 1 of 8 people in my office knows about the USSC Corporate Suffrage Decision ...
and she's a Limbaugh listener.

Everyone who hears about it is appalled -- including the Limbette. In a world of 24-houur (tigerwoods) news, why isn't this being reported widely?

1. It was, when it happened-- should it be...
shoved down the throats of those who refuse to read, watch, or listen to news not on E!

(If so, how?)

4. It deserves to still be among the top stories reported on the nightly news

The story of Big corporations, already the most powerful entities in our political universe, being granted super-rights to thoroughly overwhelm the national electoral process and public policy (not merely having gigantic influence, as of right now) has already slipped down the mainstream media's memory in favor of Tiger Woods.

2. Maybe it was because of the way you phrased it
The USSC addressed the issue in terms of free speech. It did not say that corporations have the right to vote.

5. I used DU shorthand in my post -- but not at the office.

3. The media is as broken as the government
For example, CBS Saturday Morning spent 10 minutes analyzing Tiger Woods, I fucked up statement and 1 minute with a statement from the wife of the terrorist who crashed his plane into an office building.

If the media doesn't' tell you what powers in control of the media what you to know, you are not going to know it.

6. I think that if Congress put together and passed a legislative fix
for that abortion of a SCOTUS decision their approval rating would jump maybe 10-15 points.
