Waxman is so PISSED OFF!!!
Waxman just said straight out...you won't get the Repubs on your side. This is not going to end up bipartisan because these people are just spouting all the things they hate. We can't win with this discussion. Dems are frustated and done with this. Obama responds by saying we're not making speeches (and he's right) and there are fundamental hear---I guess it's the point of being diplomatic. I also think he doesn't want to make this seem as though he's ganging on Repubs.

These Republicans are now going on the offensive. One is currently complaining.

Anyway Waxman is made my night--although the many hours of this was entertaining all around. Too many great moments of political craziness.

3. I agree - glad someone said it . . . there was nothing said today indicating there was going to be
any cooperation coming from the repubs.

Waxman is 110% correct.

4. Wish the prez wouldn't have shut him down with that campaign comment...
imo he's always so damned interested in "reaching out" that the truth gets lost.

5. Although I liked it. Honestly, Waxman acted like a child.
Yes, he was right but what he did was what Repubs were doing on the other side. It ends up shutting down the discussion and just stalls it. Ultimately there was a few things that went on during this meeting that was worthwhile. However, overall, I mean there was just a lot of childishness.

6. That makes two of us, Congressman.
I'm finding this whole thing really difficult to listen to. The republicans' lies and complaints are sending my blood pressure through the roof. I have to mute them so that I don't throw something through my computer monitor. If I hear how we "have the best health care system in the world" one more time, I am going to vomit. If it's so great, why the bloody hell are we having this discussion? I wish someone would ask them that.
