Rand Paul: Grayson Voted For Bill Clinton! Grayson Camp: Paul Voted For His Father!
Rand Paul has a new ad in the Kentucky Republican Senate primary, slamming his rival Trey Grayson for having voted for Bill Clinton in 1992, and alleging that Grayson and President Obama are "dangerous allies." Grayson's spokesman fired back, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports -- by slamming Rand Paul for supporting his father, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX).

The Paul ad blasts Grayson on national security. "He admitted to voting for draft-dodger Bill Clinton," the announcer says. "Worse, listen to what Grayson said about Barack Obama."

The ad then cuts to video of a video statement that Grayson reportedly made in January 2009, in honor of President Obama's inauguration. "I look forward to doing my part as Secretary of State, and as a citizen, to working with President Obama..." Grayson says, before the video quickly cuts away to the announcer's voice.

"Trey Grayson -- dangerous allies," the announcer says.

"Kentuckians deserve to know who Rand Paul voted for in the 1988 presidential campaign, when he was the top aide for Ron Paul's pro-choice, anti-Reagan campaign for president," said Grayson spokesman Nate Hodson. "Or, who he voted for in the 2008 Republican Presidential primary, when he campaigned across the country for his dad's shut-down-Gitmo, legalize-marijuana, cut-and-run-in-Iraq-and-Afghanistan, blame-America-for-9/11 campaign for president."

6. Ah there's the irony.....
""Or, who he voted for in the 2008 Republican Presidential primary, when he campaigned across the country for his dad's shut-down-Gitmo, legalize-marijuana, cut-and-run-in-Iraq-and-Afghanistan, blame-America-for-9/11 campaign for president."
Repukes bashing Ron Paul (and his son) because of the things he's actually on the correct side of.

7. Well, that won't help Grayson in a GOP primary, will it?
Interestingly, though, Bubba was the last Democratic presidential candidate to carry Kentucky, where he won in both 1992 and 1996.

9. This Senate race will be 10 levels of stupid
On the one hand, there's Dr. Rand, opening his mouth and sounding like a fucking idiot every time he speaks. On the other hand, there's Mongiardo for the Democrats, who enthusiastically supports digging up coal by any means necessary, and the opponents of each are largely unknown and unexciting in any way. It would be a hell of a lot easier to vote for either Democrat if it meant voting against that cockstain Bunning, but the chickenshit backed out.

11. God these campaigns become contemptible... calling a former US President a draft dodger.
It's one thing to bring stuff like that up when you're running against someone, but not after they have served as President for 8 years. So much crap. What about Bush hiding out in the Tx National Guard. Or Cheney's 5 deferments. Also like to ask Rand Paul which branch of the service he was part of during George Bush's war. Did he vote for George Bush?
