1. I Think There Is Going To Be A LOT Of Surprised And Unhappy Repubs Come Nov.

And I will be laughing my ass off.

I'm telling you, getting the bill passed will be cathartic, and in a few months, the only thing people will remember is, we got it done. So many people will probably know at least ONE person who will be immediately helped by the bill that the benefits will be undeniable. The economy will have made some noticeable progress and people will start seeing employment ticking up.

There's going to be a lot of shocked pundits and Repubs in Nov. when it's not quite the bloodbath being predicted.

An official Beetwasher prediction! Go ahead and bookmark it and rub it in my face if I'm wrong!

2. All of the above.
There will be significant numbers of Americans who react in each of the ways you described.

Also, you should add another choice:
If health care reform is signed into law, Americans will denounce Democrats.

3. Is this like "heads I win, tails you lose?"
If the current version of HCR passes, Americans will punish Democrats severely.

I suppose that's a vote for "other."

4. If the current Senate bill is signed into law, Americans will hate Democrats for selling out.
With no Public Option or Single Payer these elected officials will be roasted.

5. This Is The Biggest Steaming Pile Of Shit I've Ever Seen
Obama and the Congressional Dems have fought mightily for a bill that 2/3rds of Americans don't want. 2/3rds of Americans *do* want a public option, but Obama and the Congressional Democrats don't want it. So, just about everyone's pissed off.

The only winners will be Scott Brown types, fresh new Republicans without the insane Republican baggage of the past 10 years. They will win in droves in November and in 2012.
