would the RNC really be that stupid |
|
to run this fall on the idea of repealing HCR?
I mean think about it would they really argue that it is better to go back to an unregulated oligarchy that could strip of coverage on a whim?
Bring it on!

1. I'm betting they'll be forced to run on SUPPORTING HCR. |
|
But I probably shouldn't underestimate their raw stupidity.

2. I think they're going to be screwed. The teabaggers will insist they run on repealling it |
|
But that won't go ever well with most everyone else. I expect the popularity of HCR to increase once it passes.

The republicans have created a monster with their teabagger groups. They have worked them up, got the scared and angry, and if this passes it will come back and bit them in the butt big time! Like you said, running on repealing HCR is only going to work with the teabag nuts, and that wont' get them elected. If they cater to the nuts, many others will be upset, if they cater to those who like the idea of HCR, they will anger the teabaggers, a no win situation could be on the horizon for the party of NO!

7. At least I hope that's how it plays out |
|
Never in a million years would I have guessed that Republicans would have recovered to be competitive so quickly. I guess I expected to kick them when they were down, rather than help them up.

4. I heard that they are going to run against the taxes that will be used to pay for this bill. |
|
BUT - then they will have to answer to how they are going to pay for it.
Kinda like being between a rock and a hard place.

9. Just like with the stimulus, they'll take credit for it |
|
They can't tell the people they are going to reinstate pre-existing conditions and canceling policies if a person gets sick.

13. Lets say they do somehow pass a law... |
|
Who the fuck is gonna sign it? They gonna get a super-majority in congress in 2010? Nope... Personally I see Obama being re-elected in 2012 - so who signs their bill into law until 2016? Answer - nobody.
Ain't gonna happen
