Edited on Sat Mar-27-10 11:47 AM by butterfly77
One guy stood up and shouted at the back of the room and a fight broke out. About ten minutes later another Protestor began shouting and was dragged out..

1. Um... why wouldn't protesters be thrown out of any event?
Sorry, I didn't see it - was it violent / aggressive or something?

3. OP said a fight broke out
I agree. Why shouldn't they be thrown out *if* violence was resulting from their presence.

Hopefully the other pugilist was tossed, too, but people tend to protect their own.

9. I've been to SO many Democratic rallies where Republicans chanted and heckled throughout.
For me, this started in the Carter Administration and has been a constant. I saw Clinton twice while he was president and both times organized Republican groups with signs and loud mouths demonstrated throughout and people looked at them as an irritant, but nobody stopped them from being there and staying the whole time.

But Republicans don't tolerate dissent at their rallies. During the Bush Administration, protesters were barred from attending and/or arrested. People were arrested for wearing t-shirts opposing Bush and Cheney. I haven't forgotten.

11. The guy shouted his piece and was LEAVING
then he was surrounded by thugs and it looked to me like they hit him and took him to the ground then dragged him out of the room. They were violent, he was not.

12. McCain is desperate
and is trying to rescue the GOP. He has to get Palin to convince the wackoes to vote for him in the primary because if they don't, sane republicans (and there still are a few) will have the choice of voting for a crazed teabagger or a Democrat.

17. I'd like to think that it's an internal right wing fight.
Can't imagine people that stoked on anger and hate NOT going after each other at some point.
I guess we'll find out eventually.
