Businessman Peter Schiff (R), who has until recently been running an under-the-radar campaign for Connecticut's open Senate seat, has released his first television advertisement.

One of the interesting parts of the straight-to-camera spot is what Schiff doesn't say -- his party affiliation.

Schiff trails former Rep. Rob Simmons and former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon in polls for the GOP primary in Connecticut.

A Schiff aide confirmed that he will run in the August primary even if he does not get the party's endorsement at its convention in May -- perhaps a more difficult task if voters don't know he's a Republican.

1. I don't recall McMahon

showing any affialiation in any of her ubiquitous advertising. Maybe I'm just getting better at ignoring that moronic bitch and her nasal whine.

2. Schiff is kind of nutty anyway. He has no chance to win the GOP primary here.

Unfortunately, we will have to put up with Linda McMahon in the general race.
