I owe Dan Quayle an apology!
I thought he was a dumb and unqualified as any candidate could get!

Now with Palin on the list of possible presidential candidates I owe him an apology!

Palin makes Quayle look like a genius.

Hell, now Quayle would be at the top of the list of GOP contenders.

This shows just how bad the GOP contenders are, Dan Quayle is looking good!

2. He was no dumber than Bush or Reagan, either.
When either of them went off-script, they were just as dumb.

8. Just applying Barnum's Law
" No one ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the American people." If you look at it that way, it's not a dare, it is a necessary part of their strategy.
Not that I'm one to talk - but the posts in Freeperville sound like an ad for the "Quayle Skool O' Spellin"

5. The difference between Quayle and Palin.
Dan Quayle understood the difference between being a celebrity and a politician. After the election in 88 Quayle tried very hard to change is image to be taken seriously as a national politician. Palin hasn't got a clue. She is in her own little world of right wing talking points. This latest book has increased her celebrity status, but not her strength as a national leader.

6. Imagine if they ran together.
They would wrap up all the stupid people's votes in the country. We might actually be in trouble if that happened. There are a lot of damned stupid people in America. :tinfoilhat:

9. My favorite Quayle Quote and Palin Pronouncement:
"The holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history.…
No, not our nation's, but in World War II. I mean, we all lived in this century.
I didn't live in this century, but in this century's history."

J. Danforth Quayle
Vice-President of the United States
1989-1993

Could Sarah do better?

"As Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state."

Sarah Palin
Vice-Presidential Candidate
2008
