Poll question: What drives politics in this country?
What institution is a priori to all other forces affecting politics?

1. A priori?
I know what the phrase means; a priori is to determine conclusions before facts have been presented, whereas a posteriori is to form conclusions after facts. But what has that to do with your question?

Politics is driven by money. Simple as that.

Taking orders from the top 1%.

They control the govt, they control the courts, they control the media, they control the economy.

The rest of us are slaves.

10. There's more range of emotion than that, Frenchie Cat
Though you're right- fear and resentment are major drivers of public policy in the states- money (and keeping out or away from certain hands) on the other hand is as much an end as it is a means.
