Madison Tea Party Report (1st Edition)
I have video and other photos yet to be uploaded and such, but my trusty iPhone photos give a general idea on the event , which happened here in Madison, WI.

First of all, there were a lot less people than last year. There seemed to be some level of control on really ugly anti-Obama signs... and since these people were all bussed in from towns a hundred or more miles away, there probably was some control on who could show what signage there was. That was my impression anyway.

It was 99% white people and I'd say a large amount were retired and probably comfortably living with Medicare and Social Security. There seemed to be a lot more theocratic talk in the speeches, i.e. God's on our side stuff. There also seemed to be a lot of paranoia that interlopers were within the crowd trying to make the poor teabaggers look bad.

Here's a photo gallery of some of the people...

There were some Russ Feingold fans across the street from the rally, which I'd say was about 2,000 people.

More to come in later posts...

5. Lot of pre-existing conditions, for sure...
I wonder how happy they will be when they don't get turned down for coverage due to hyper-obesity and its effects...

9. Mean I know, but if you're too fat to stand, maybe you shouldn't be protesting healthcare...

2. I wish we didn't even have to comment on
such ignorance and self proclaimed victimhood.

That one poor thing is trying to blame President Obama because he's such a sick fool.

3. Wow! Look at the diversity!
So many different races and cultures represented at the Tea Party events, right? It's truly amazing. What a vision of America!

7. The only black person who was there spoke about making America a theocracy
Yes, there are African-Americans at these events... male Baptist preachers who want to get the crowd to chant angrily "Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!"

I kid you not.

Any more of the schreeching and crying and they'll end up eating more brains of the easily persuaded.

12. Seriously.....
.... and these are the same people who'd be afraid to go to the inner city. I would go RUNNING that direction to get away from them.

8. The biggest lie that the news imposters say about this is that it's a "people's grassroots movement"
I've done grassroots stuff in the street. You don't have access to a large PA system with a dozen large speakers, a video broadcasting system and a 12 x 20 foot video screen and about half a dozen large tents for people to have out merchandise.

You have a table, some clipboards, some buttons, some issue sheets, a chair or two and some backpacks.

You also don't have a fully-staffed Fox News satellite truck that was there from 8AM to 3PM either.
