If Obama truly was a Socialist... |
|
...and acted on it...
This wealthy corporate-run government (google: "Oligarchy"), known as the USA, would "JFK" him or take one of his family members out, in a heartbeat.
Tell the Tea Baggers they can breathe a sigh of relief, unrestricted predatory capitalism is here to stay.
my 2 cents

3. If you believe that, then you are making the logical statement |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-25-10 09:25 AM by RandomThoughts
That government is null and void, and you are making a de facto claim that attacks on the oligarchy is required.
Only by your statement. The logic of it makes that statement.
I do not believe in violence, so would abhor either option, but you may not understand the logic of your statement.
You can not say that people are held by threat of violence without law, then at the same time expect any civil order.
I disagree with your basic premise, but do not disagree that people have to face those threats, since threats is 99.9% of intimidation.
Which is an important point, if such a thing is true, there would have to be a deep enough bench of leaders to make it through such things, and they would have to have the courage to face such things.
I do not think it is like that, because most people are more good then bad, so most of it is empty threats and bluffs. They would not want to start that situation, and the real worry would be someone else trying to start such a thing under false pretences to create the retaliation. Such things are never as simple as that.

5. I think it is one of the reasons we have to stay away from |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-25-10 09:37 AM by RandomThoughts
the most of extream conclusions, most people are good, and want to find a way through things without violence.
But in peaceful ideas of social movements, it is esential to have a large base of people willing to stand up, then if an opponent turns to violence, the overall good of people around the world stops them.
All peaceful movements have had threats and difficult times, the threats and that fear you mention is part of any group. Although if it is something that would change your basic views, then you probably should not be in a position of leadership.
And I think our leaders are vary courages, they are on a world stage day in day out, and they do it not for themselves, many could have made far more elsewhere, they do it because they have beliefs, and I think they have courage also.
And I think avoiding violent talk is a good way to keep things civil. If anyone steals votes, there are good people that will stop them, just as if they break the law, there are good people at justice that will stop them. People are better then most think.

6. I admire your faith in mankind |
|
We can't even get health coverage in this country as war continues unabated, more offshore oil rigs and nuke plants are planned, we can't grow industrial hemp, and millions still behind bars for growing it.
My faith is not as strong as yours.

7. There is a disparity, by consolidation. |

But more importantly, if you take the high ground, and have a good argument, and get ignored. Then you gain a form of evidence of corruption.
And that evidence is far more important then any form of coercion to get an effect. You can't make a person act a certain way, knowing how they choose to act is far more important.

14. Only if the "judge(s)" are at least somewhat competent and won't fall for the endless okie doak |

Evidence is utterly worthless to blind eyes or a bought audience.
You count on honesty and things "working out as they should" when their is plenty of evidence that doesn't back up your rationals.

Then he wouldn't be a blatant ideological corporatist.
Socialists don't privatize schools, health care, and space programs.
Only a moron or a crook would possibly mistake Obama for a socialist. Dude is clearly right of the western liberal democracy center.

because Congress is not socialist and would never implement socialism in the United States. No, he is instead in favor of more regulated capitalism as opposed to less regulated capitalism as the Republicans want.
