Is there some kind of law the Obama Adm. could use to have Dick Cheney thrown in jail? |
|
For seditious speech against the Commander in Chief in a time of war, and undermining our troops in the field by second guessing the Commander in Chief at a time when we have troops in the field.

1. Maybe that Constitution thing? |
|
But then, besides the law on your side, you gotta have the fortitude to do it...

2. There are all kinds of reasons that Cheney should be in jail, if someone had the balls.... |
|
to hold him accountable for his past actions.

5. I believe convicting "Cheeney" of anything we could convict him for.... |
|
.... would create problems with the KSM/9.11 suspects' trial.
That's the gist I get anyway.

....Cheney's not covered by the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and everything else is covered by the First Amendment.
Too many DU'ers clearly left the voting booth last fall thinking "Damn, now we've got our turn to run a banana republic."

8. Almost everybody here did during the Bush Administration what Cheney is doing now. |
|
If he could be blithely thrown in jail, almost everyone here would be languishing in a jail in some undisclosed location.
Cheney has the right to disagree with the President, the right to speak out against his government, and the right to make an absolute ass of himself.
Now, if he is calling for the armed forces to mutiny against President Obama, or calling for an armed insurrection by the people, you could charge him with sedition. I haven't heard him go quite that far.
