I read somewhere (sorry, no link) that Obama wants to name 3 women to the SC. That would bring the total to 4.
About time!

At 75, frail and in poor health, which may be the main reason why two women were nominated in quick succession.
This is why it was so important to elect a Democrat - whoever the candidate was. It was clear that within four years there were going to be 2 or 3 vacancies - of liberals.
