The Susan B. Anthony List launched a $215,000 independent expenditure Tuesday supporting the Republican Senate candidacy of former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. According to a press release from the group, which supports female candidates who oppose abortion rights, the SBA List plans an ad campaign and targeted calls to 600,000 registered voters, as well as fundraising help for Fiorina before the June 8 California primary.
Fiorina will face state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore and former Rep. Tom Campbell in the GOP primary next month. Public polls have shown mixed results with either Fiorina or Campbell in the lead.
