the US corporatemediawhores and will lead our country in spite of them. They must feel impotent so they only rev up their ugly nonsense instead of actually reporting the news.

4. And yet, in another Gallup poll, Rethug ratings were down more then Dems were.
The truth is, do we know how voters will vote in the fall?
The bigger turnouts of Dems in the primaries so far is good but we just don't know.

15. No sense in arguing with you
The numbers are what they are- and people can see them for themselves and determine what they mean (or don't mean).

Not a Gallup fan myself- and I wouldn't rely on them for an accurate appraisal of anything, though if I were to hazard a guess, the actually state of affairs for the administration will likely be trending worse.

41. Yes, but Gallup's is a consistent daily tracking poll, and since
this spill is more than a month old, dissatisfaction would be reflected.

Comparing all polls with each other, is apples to oranges, dependant on when the polls are done and who is polled. But Gallup's is apples to apples.

The GOP don't get a lead if the BS isn't working. I know it is working by talking to folks as I canvass, but some wouldn't know that.

Edited on Wed Jun-02-10 09:40 PM by saracat
I picked Pelosi because it is common knoledge what was said about her and continues to be said.

Media Matters for America has compiled the following examples:

•During the May 17 edition of CNN's State of the Union, CNN contributor Alex Castellanos claimed that "if Speaker Pelosi were still capable of human facial expression, we'd see she'd be embarrassed, because, right now, she is in a very Nixon-like position."
•In his May 17 Townhall.com column, Doug Giles wrote: "Either Nancy Pelosi is lying her backside off regarding her knowledge of the CIA's irrigation for information techniques, or one of the side effects of a high dollar Botox habit includes severe short-term memory loss." Giles further wrote: "In December 2007, Mrs. Pelosi admitted that she attended the briefing, but she wouldn't comment for the record about precisely what she was told. (What do you think old Nancy is doing here? Is she Botoxing? Does she have selective amnesia? Perhaps, a senior moment? Or is she revving up the engines on her BS Express?)."
•During the May 15 broadcast of his radio show, referring to Pelosi, Neal Boortz said he was going to talk about "how fun it is to watch that hag out there twisting in the wind."

The media-the WHOLE media-attacking Dems.-not just one Dem. You're giving isolated examples of RW crazies, not any mainstream media. It's not comparable. Spare me about his "very gentle" treatment.

28.  Nevermind. Clearly nothing will impede your mindset. Have you ever worked a real
grassroots campaign? Have you ever worked for the press? Those of us who have have a different perspective. Perhaps if you did you might know how Democrats are treated by the media in general. Obama had it easy. He doesn't any longer. But that is to be expected.

slamming Obama every single day, libs. and cons. alike, repeating the same thing ad nauseum. That's the point of the OP. DESPITE all of that, his approval is at 50%. There are NO examples of ANYTHING similar regarding Dems. in Congress.

21. If the voting public is anything like me, they've just tuned out all the extraneous noise.
As evidenced by his usual favorability numbers, most people are still willing to give this president a chance. The media and the haters can eat shit & die as far as I'm concerned.
