Mitt Romney headed to S.C. for Nikki Haley
Former Massachusetts GOP Gov. Mitt Romney will soon travel to South Carolina to stump for Nikki Haley in the state’s runoff of the GOP nomination for governor.

Both Romney and Haley sources confirmed to POLITICO that Romney is planning the trip, though the two sides have yet to agree on a date.

Romney endorsed Haley in March, providing a boost to Haley’s campaign, which at the time still lagged in single digits — and well ahead of former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin’s high-profile endorsement of the state representative.

In a statement to POLITICO, Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said that Haley “represents a new generation of conservative leadership for South Carolina.”

12. Looks like a sign
that Mittens is pretty serious about running again, and making it past Iowa and NH this time. The SC primary looms early in the schedule, and if he can win there, he thinks he might be able to overcome fundie resistance to his candidacy.

Good luck with that, Mitt. The fundies would rather see Barack Obama re-elected than give talking points to Mormon missionaries trying to pick off their flocks.

13. If Romney is elected, he would be a more credible president than any other Republican
I wouldn't vote for him, however. There aren't any other Republicans who are credible at all. I understand he was valedictorian at BYU.

15. He might indeed be just that
but two things:

#1: That's not saying much.

#2: The fundies don't even want LDS missionaries saying that "The 2012 Presidential Nominee was one of us."

The country-clubbers would love Mittens, but they're outnumbered by the fundies.
