Joe Madison: This is why I'm just as hard on liberals as I am Conservatives |
|
he is upset at Keith Oberman making a joke about the Alvin Greene case. Madison says Keith come on this isn't funny but once again this is what you call undervalued underestimated and marginalized.

3. Joe Madison is an asshat if he thinks Republicans and Democrats |
|
are equally deserving of criticism.
Dems deserve to be critized for some things but, as a whole, they are nowhere near as dishonest, racist, volilent or downright mean as Republicans. Democrats actually have some values, like trying to protect the environment, improving education, helping the poor, caring for the elderly and military families, and realizing that science can help us in many ways. Republicans care about none of those things, they're just fucking hateful and if Joe Madison can't see that, he's a fucking idiot.

4. It was not funny, it was frightening. GOP manipulating open primary system. |
|
Edited on Fri Jun-11-10 10:43 AM by Overseas
Keith asked regular questions about his campaign and there were longer than satellite delay pauses before Greene gave short noncommittal replies-- almost as though he had an earpiece relaying them or was coached on standard political replies.
Alvin Greene was given funding to run as a Democrat in the primary in Jim Demint's territory. But did no campaigning, just had a meeting or two, and somehow swept the primary over a much better known Democrat.
More ugly and cynical election manipulation by the GOP, probably. Not funny but very eerie.
And you can't help wondering why they would need to do that in Demint's state.
Is there some sort of scandal looming for Demint?
Or is it just more really ugly GOP electioneering-- "look at who the Democrats chose!"
THe right wing will play up the "liberals are laughing at Greene" to cover up the real story about who paid Greene to run and who urged right wingers to vote for Greene to win the Democratic primary.

6. Back in the 90's they did it at least twice in California in state races. |
|
To me, even bigger than the question of green, how did he manage to win such a high percentage of the vote?
