I Noticed One Big Disconnect Today Between Obama & BP......

During the hearing the BP US head was asked about the $20 billion account for claims in the Gulf region and indicated that BP has made no decision on that yet. It seems, however, that Obama thinks that it is a done deed and that this will happen and it will be administered by a third party and not BP. On my local news station - they seemed complimentary on Obama's speech and reported that this $20 billion will happen.

Now - does anyone out there know if this is really going to happen? If it doesn't happen Obama will really have egg on his face.

1. BP execs are meeting with Obama tomorrow. Can they say no to the $20 million?

They can but I doubt they will. Threaten to seize their assets and they would comply. Can we legally do that? Who knows.
