21st century media would not have allowed a FDR |
|
I think he's doing his best, but the ultra-right, and especially their media arm, won't put up with anything to the left of Mussolini. The fact is that the country is run by a drunken, suicidal rapist and a 4-times-married, drug-addled pedophile who are on the record as wanting the country to fail while Obama is in office. The rest of Big Media are also hoping for disaster, but don't get as much publicity as the main pair.
The prez is probably doing the best that can be done without complete realignment of the media-run system.

"In 19__ if there's a tv in every house in America this country doesn't elect a man in a wheel chair"

3. Then there was this FDR court packing thing...you know, when they would.. |

not let him increase the number of Supreme Court Justices.
After the success of his first hundred days, his rampant spending was fought and, eventually, stopped, leading to more depression.
I disagree with your premise.
