Can anyone tell me if the White House has a coffee shop?!
There is a post below that states that lobbyists met WH officials at a coffee shop and it should be placed on the WH visitor logs? So I was just wondering if the WH has a coffee shop...If so that's wicked. If not, why should be on the visitor logs? I just saw some pouncing on this as though it's relevant. I never heard the WH has a coffee Shop inside, I mean that would be really cool if it did. I heard of the bowling alley.

2. I am given to understand that a LOT of people work in the west wing of ...
...the White House. On the order of hundreds or thousands. I bet that many people includes a lot that drink coffee. Also, it being a tourist attraction, I expect the White House has a gift shop.

14. They wouldn't risk putting a coffee shop in the WH.
Coffee Shop leads to kids with sticky hands which leads to accidental touching and a mess. Or leads to spills, people stepping on it and spreading it in the WH. Many places because they're tourist attractions don't have coffee shops because there are those places around them. The WH does have a WH---it's the coffee shop I'm not sure about.

Perhaps the admin should bring it big bank/war machine lobbyists there ... that way they could eat chocolate WHILE they were being bought off. :sarcasm:

What is funny is i was actually talking to one of the folks who was at the Caribou today as I read the article.I told them they had had their "cover blown" and out to remove the badge from around their neck and al least TRY to be a little less obvious. Their response"Too late now" LOL!

25. Tell that to the article which said secret meetings were held at a coffee shop and not listed.
I was like, the only way these people would matter on a list is if they went to the WH. A public coffee house in a public place is not a secret meeting with lobbyists.

27. Don't they have satellite tracers on them, so staff can use a GPS, and keep a mile away?
Can't we do something to track lobbyists better?

at least we could keep track of where they are. These little fucking lobbyists do seem to create a lot of problems for us.

30. I'm aware. I believe the gift shop is still around. However, I was asking about a coffee shop.
Which are wholeheartedly two different things which provide two different services.
