Tom Tancredo says something so outrageous that the Repub. he was campaigning for renounced it
Edited on Fri Jul-09-10 02:20 PM by jenmito
After recalling the nuclear threat from the former Soviet Union, Tancredo said, "We had that threat and we survived it. Later we found out we had another threat to our way of life, and that was al Qaeda. We found that out on 9/11."

Tancredo continued, "But I firmly believe this — it's not just, you know, sort of a dramatic statement that a person would make to get press or something, or ink. I believe this with all my heart. The greatest threat to the United States today, the greatest threat to our liberty, the greatest threat to the Constitution of the United States, the greatest threat to our way of life, everything we believe in, the greatest threat to the country that was put together by the Founding Fathers is the guy that is in the White House today."

Colorado Senate candidate Ken Buck denounced his comments on a conference call. (Video of Tancredo's remarks included at link): http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/senate-races/107815-former-rep-tancredo-obama-is-countrys-greatest-threat-

1. I imagine that for Mr. Tancredo and fair number of teabaggers
Edited on Fri Jul-09-10 02:23 PM by Proud Liberal Dem
having a black man in the White House probably REALLY is the worst thing to happen to this country. :eyes: :banghead: It's good to know that some Repubs don't have the stomach to support such absurd comments.

5. I said that about G.W. Bush. When he won in 2004, I predicted that he would blow up the world.
I was thinking with wars, not with economies. But I was right, in a way...

6. Tancredo is a really sick man. He's like
Pat Buchanan in that he just can't control his racism and hatred. Things come out of both their mouths that are just unbelievable.

7. Tancredo is a ginormous moran & part of the actual (and quite huge) threat
How many states today have filed suit against the Federal Government? Didn't Utah recently decide they can "reclaim" their National Parks under eminent domain in order to mine coal? VA is suing over several things, not least of which is the health care reform...I haven't the time to compile a complete list.

There are lawsuits & fights on a huge number of issues arguing "states rights"; it's like we're having a new Civil War because the GD GOP can't participate in our government humbly & solve problems, but must RULE absolutely & impose their agenda. I never thought I would live to see any of this. To me this Obama-hating is absolute racist insanity, compounded by my watching the "old" Blank Panther Bobby Seale defending Obama & American political process! My teeth are buzzing.

It seems to me the greatest threat to the UNITED STATES of America and our Constitution is the wing-nut GOPers & teabaggers who are determined to dissolve it in the name of Jesus & to save us all from our legitimately elected president. Adjectives fail me.

8. Dear Kenny, you invited him, he is a member of your party
are you that ignorant, didnt you talk to him about what he was going to say?

Or was this the plan to make you look less evil-pukester, positioning Ken Buck in a more moderate centrist light? I suspect thats what went down here.

Kenny Buck wants to seem less viral than his GOP peers!

But it did get the story out there didnt it.

They must think we have the IQ of Rand Paul!

slick real slick,......

Side Note, any good MMO strategy has a good puller, you have to pull one at a time out of the field, back into your area where you take em out. Note that our puller pulled a train a little while back, and the group had to scramble to stay standing. Got to give some credit on the roots and webs and the Cleric was healing like mad, was a close one. And that AOE did the trick, but anyway back to pulling.

So guys, try not to pull a train, a group of reds comming down the track can be a tough situation.

Epic armor rocks, sure some of the player made stuff has better stats, but for the look got to go with epic armor.

12. I doubt that Buck's renunciation
Edited on Fri Jul-09-10 03:08 PM by madamesilverspurs
is heartfelt. Buck is, I'm sad to say, my DA. With good cause he is not held in high regard by Hispanics. He has been smacked down by the state supreme court for over-stepping his authority by pawing through tax returns filed through a bilingual tax preparer. He was the campaign chair for Marilyn DOMA Musgrave, our thankfully erstwhile congresscritter. And he's on record asserting that liberals are part of the criminal class. So, no way in hell that he disagrees with Tancredo. He's got DeMint stumping for him, fer crying out loud.

Just checked the newspaper's website, they have a snippet about this in which Buck claims to disagree with Tancredo but still welcomes his support. Snort.

15. He's the electric fence guy..that is how I will always remember him.
The guy is a freaking racist, he calls for assimilation based on Christian core values!

A quote from him: “Throughout history, people who are not white Anglo-Saxon have become American by adopting a white Anglo-Saxon culture.”

Although Congressman King sang the tune for an electric fence too. Think Progress:

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) went on the House floor on Tuesday to discuss a fence that he “designed” for the southern boarder. (King constructed a model of the fence as he was speaking.) King’s design features a wire electrified “with the kind of current that would not kill somebody.” King noted that “we do this with livestock all the time.” Watch it:

Keep the N*'s in the yard, not in the house?! Is basically the idea right? Cause that's what the Founding Father's were about.

19. Who are the...
everyone who is caucasian or rich

Everytime they start talking its the AMERICAN PEOPLE or THEM VS us..How do they expect to fight wars they love so much when they hate everyone in the country who isn't white or rich. They are giving comfort to the enemy and other countries know more about this country than AMERICANS. His main point is that he way of life will be restored once a white man or woman is President.

This asshole doesn't even know who or what is in AMERICA while the bush crew and the rest of the CONS weren't checking on who was coming in on any border. Now the CONS want to scream and holler about really just(HISPANICS) who they somehow just noticed are in America.

The media needs to ask these people what they will do to fix America some are now waking up to what America is really about. The media is harping on sarah palin now. Repubs be careful for what you wish for especially in this climate. People are angry and many ARE paying attention.

Yes,let sarah win and let the games begin,I say this for any repub., They have been criticizing this President and screaming about what he should or should not do before he even took office. Now,what do you think will happen if we get a repug President, house and senate? Will everyone go along with some more of there tax cuts and shipping more jobs overseas?

Yes,they and the chamber of commerce will start back hiring so that it will look like everything is rosy for a while, meanwhile they will be making more deals to destroy us some more while they fill their and their families pockets so they can retire rich and keep playing these games. The economy was fucked up in the early 2000 as I sent out many resumes and stood in many lines at jobs fairs and over the net. They are full of shit! and some people still don't get it.

Do they really think they will be comfortable with their ill gotten gains while the majority of America suffers. Crime was out of control during the bush years although the media likes to portray it as low, and another thing I get so tired of hearing about CHICAGO'S crime problem because the President is from CHICAGO crime is out of control all over the country we have had shootings at malls and other horrendous crimes throughout the bush years. Isn't anyone worried about all of the children and women being murdered its and EPIDEMIC and the beat goes on...
