Ready for the investigations?
The liberals are mad at Obama, the Republicans think he's a socialist, the center is drifting right, the conservatives are motivated, the Obama backers are lackadaisical, and the Republicans will do the exact same thing to Obama that they did to Clinton: Spend $40 million of taxpayer money to turn over every stone and manufacture a scandal. It worked. It stopped Clinton's agenda, and got Bush II elected. Meanwhile the Democrats are an insipid lot afraid to go to the left, speak boldly for minorities, working people, the unemployed, and others who would make up a winning coalition.

.. but when a majority of likely voters think Obama of all people is a socialist, my guess is it's not a good thing.

9. I actually think some who responded that way on the survey were thinking the same thing..
Obama style socialism is not all that bad.. especially if it pisses off idiot Republicans.

4. All they need is a Republican majority
And there is clearly some Democrats that want to see it happen. People's memories are very short.

6. Pretty impressive, isn't it?
and to think that only a year ago, Republicans were on the verge of being relegated to the fringe for a generation.

Goes to show what happens when so much time is spent pandering to and enabling and legitimizing them, while alienating one's own constituencies.

7. I mostly blame rightwing media. Actually things have improved from a couple months ago..
I think the House and Senate are both safe. Pretty impressive considering the coordinated onslaught from media, talk show hosts, conservative organizations, corporations.. and from some in our own party.

8. Too bad Obama and the Democratic congress didn't impeach Bush
So they would have even the slightest bit of integrity. Obama made his bed.

10. what is that suppose to mean?
you think it's okay for republicans to go on witch-hunts in the future with taxpayer money because obama didn't impeach bush (i'm guessing he has those powers now because you say so)?
