6. Well, there's only one "Democrat governor" in a Mexican border state
And I'm reasonably certain that Bill Richardson isn't a fan of the Brewer/Pearce/Arpaio fascist horseshit law.

16. My guess is it's not from governor on a border.
Bredesen, Henry, and Freudenthal are all blue governors of wingnut hellholes--and their constituents are probably screaming about this.

20. It's not Richardson. The NYT had an article today, one of them is Colorado's governor, and ........
two more that were not named.

5. This song ain't about Obama
Edited on Mon Jul-12-10 10:31 AM by rocktivity
State laws that violate Federal law are automatically unconstitutional. AZ's law is a direct threat to that federal government's authority. Not only does Obama not have a choice, we should expect ANY United States president to take the same action.

Same for radio and TV. Funny how the meme is propagated by simple omissions, works every time.

7.  This is a perfect example of the problems facing Obama by his own party.
It's not that he's center or not left enough. He has one too many non-supporters in his own party.

people are "offended". This law does nothing to stop illegal immigration. It merely upsets the legal immigrants already here who will inevitably end up being harassed.

14. Immigration
A friend of mine was stopped last week by the police. She stated he had followed her for 2 blocks looking into her car. She was going to the store to pick up medicine for her child and had the kids and a friend of hers in the car. She wasn't speeding and had done nothing wrong. When she pulled up into the parking lot the policeman wouldn't let her out of her car. He asked for her drivers' license. While she was looking through her purse for it (she isn't well organized) he asked her for her citizenship papers. She was stunned. Folks this happened in Oklahoma and this woman is Choctaw Indian. She was born in Tulsa, Ok. He had 3 police cars surround her during this process.

After all was said and done, he sited her for having an obstructed car tag. She had a piece of mud on the renewal sticker. Now this happened on the day of one of our floods and she lives in the country on a dirt road. I guess if you look of a certain persuasion in Ok. you better get out every few minutes and check for mud on your car tag. If your Native American you better carry your tribal ID with you at all times.

These Governors are cowards. They need to fight for their citizens instead of hiding behind their fear.

17. He didn't say which govs?
Then you're title is a bunch of bullshit, like most of your recent posts. What's your agenda these days bigdarryl?
And it's democratic, not democrat. This OP is misleading, as usual. What happened to you? You used to be a
big supporter. Talk about a 180.

Again, your title is BULLSHIT.

24. They are NOT "begging" Obama to drop this
Edited on Mon Jul-12-10 07:08 PM by catgirl
I read the articles. Three governors are "concerned" about the timing. There isn't a general begging of dem govs
going on. Read the OP title, then read the NYT article, then explain where the BEGGING is.

In fact, the Latino vote is growing on the dem side, so the obvious course of action on the repug side is to do
a Rovian reverse psychology tactic , like this. But, it won't work. I'll continue to support my president. :-)
