Has to be republicans or something. I don't get that at all. No way this country is that stupid.

1. Well they elected Reagan twice
I was going to say "re-elected" W but that would be a misstatement of fact.

13. By a landslide! 59% in 1984...
...if we extrapolated that to today demographically, it would be considerably closer, but still... We mustn't underestimate the political backwardness of certain people in the US who are frothing at the mouth with racial panic.

17. And earlier in the campaign, Reagan was behind in the polls to both Hart and Mondale.
On March 9, 1984, a Gallup poll showed Hart 9 points ahead of Reagan.

In October 1983, Mondale led Reagan by 50%-44%.

Polls can be a volatile thing.

2. The Gingrich numbers don't make much sense...
I've said as much in another thread. They say he's getting 17% of the black vote. But no Republican has been able to pull in that amount of black support in decades.

So why should I believe Gingrich, of all people, would be able to net 17% of the black vote?

History

Hot Air was launched on April 24, 2006, with Michelle Malkin as founder/CEO. Since then, the site has become one of the largest right-of-center blogs on the Internet. Here’s the very first post that appeared at Hot Air–posted at 4:15am after bleary-eyed preparations and an intense team effort to launch the site. Here were Michelle’s reflections on the site’s six-month anniversary.

In February 2010, HotAir was acquired and became part of the Townhall/HotAir network alongside Townhall.com and Townhall Magazine in a network of conservative websites with over three million monthly readers.
The Editors

Allahpundit has been blogging for Hot Air since its inception in April 2006. He is cited in Mary Mapes’s book as one of the right-wing bloggers whose “wild and hateful claims” helped destroy CBS’s story about the Bush National Guard memos, which pleases him to no end. He can be reached at allah@hotair.com .

Ed Morrissey joined Hot Air in February 2008. He can be reached at ed@hotair.com after writing at Captain’s Quarters since 2003. He also hosts a weekly radio show on Minnesota’s AM 1280 The Patriot every Saturday afternoon.

5. That's perfect!
Michelle Malkin personifies hot air. Maybe the little witch has a sense of humor after all.

10. I've done that, too, but now you know. It's not always great to
just post links; I've learned that on DU and been lambasted.
If I'm unfamiliar with a link, I look it up first to save myself some aggravation.

With that aside, that polling is off, no way Palin is tied with Obama.

8. I welcome either of them to run...it will be all the funnier when Obama stomps their asses into dust
Of course, no end of concerned posters will run around here yelling the sky is falling. By and large, it will be the same group of "political experts" who were telling us how Obama was gonna lose Pennsylvania back in October of 2008.

11. PPP is a Dem-leaning firm. However, like all pollsters, they have their good polls and then their
crappy polls. This being one of the latter.
PPP seems to do well close to election times for special elections (did good on the Mass races) and for congressional races in general.
But with national poll questions I find them at bit poor. Better pollster for specific congressional races.

15. They're making this up.
No poll has Palin within even ten points of Obama till now. They probably vastly oversampled teabaggers.

16. Most polls I have seen have Obama up at least 20 points
over ANY republican. You are correct this poll must have been taken on the republican side of the senate. Hey!! think that's where Rasmussen and the rest take theirs'.

18. PPP - Final Pennsylvania Democratic Primary Poll (2008)
http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/surveys/2008_Archives/PPP_Release_042108.pdf

Raleigh, N.C. – Public Policy Polling’s final survey in Pennsylvania continues to show
an extremely tight race. Barack Obama has a 49-46 lead over Hillary Clinton in the state.

Clinton won by nearly 10 points...
