I wonder if the wine and cheese will be better...

Western Europeans overall have circa 500 more hours of free time-like vacations-and social programs, high wages, worker/union controlled induistry and safety standards, less stress. They make better products, have more holidays, work fewer hours and have a higher standard of living.

Hell, we don't need nothin' like that here in Amurika!!!11

I can promise better cheese at half the price(wine, bread, and beer too), but you'll need to give up the mega-corp fast food, the mega-cheese maker corp, live closer to each other, and use mass transit. 12. We just spent 2.5 yrs in Europe and I have

reverse culture shock returning to the states. My British husband struggled to work between New Years and Memorial day without a holiday. He said it was barbaric to work that long without more than a weekend break. Of course, I gave up looking for a job so I have plenty of time on my hands these days.

I mentioned on a RW site that I thought he was barely a Democrat, and I am way left of him...they think I am Stalin now...or Satan, maybe both.

The ignorance in the US is just astounding to me, and has been since I started college in '65...I met so many ill informed people, students and faculty as well, and I was not very impressed.

Things seem to be changing for the worse, too...


Maybe the Belgians or someone will invade us and save us from ourselves...(HELP!)
