4. Unfortunately, I do too. There is never acknowledgement of accomplishments |
|
but plenty of Obama= Bush.
No recognition that we DO NOT HAVE THE VOTES IN THE SENATE!!! The fact that he got ANYTHING passed is amazing.
Go ahead liberal brothers and sisters, shoot yourselves in the foot by not getting behind the president. Criticism is fine, but the venom against the president and the lack of any appreciation of his acheivements despite the atmosphere in washington is delusional!
I'll never forget a meeting of OFA just after the inauguration and one of the people who participated in the meeting was actually pissed off that he hadn't brought all the troops out of Iraq by then. It was just beyond the pale.
Keep it up people and we will get a rightwinger president... and before that, a senate that is even more rightwing and potentially, the loss of the house. See how much gets done then!!!!!!
Should Gibbs have spouted off his frustrations right now, probably not considering the venom and vitriol of some on the left, but I for one, don't blame him at all.

17. Unfortunately there can me a mob mentality here |
|
that attempts to kowtow opinions on certain issues and subjects which do not line up with the accepted majority position. Attempts will be made to belittle or mock a minority opinion in an attempt to get that poster to shut up such as with the ever popular "thank you for your concern" retort.
This doesn't happen all the time, but happens more often than it should. It would be nice if we could disagree more agreeably and give some consideration that someone else's differing opinion may have a point.

6. I agree with him too, but the whiners are proving why he should have kept his mouth shut. |
|
I think he is exactly correct. But I just don't understand why he said it, is he intentionally trying to drive down Democratic turnout with such comments? I just don't see the utility, what do such comments accomplish?
We all know they are whiners, but really, keep it to yourself Robert.

7. Outside of the bubble we live in this would lead to "Let's *look* at what Obama *has* done" |
|
newscoverage but that wouldn't be divisive so we won't have that.

18. Sometimes people just have bad days... |
|
not making any excuses for Gibbs, but I think he was ill with a sore throat. I've said things that I wish I hadn't after the fact (I'm sure others have too), so it happens. He's frustrated, and I can certainly understand why just from reading some of the posts on DU.

25. The whiners aren't going to vote for Democrats anyway |
|
It's in question if they ever did.
Then they wonder why the country moves rightward. It's because they are unrealistic and ineffective.

He called not only for his censure but to fire the dumb ass and it has been met with wide-spread approval.

20. It isn't blind support |
|
I can list what I]/b] disagree with but that is basically the point- WE are allowed to disagree the other side has to follow the wagon train no matter where it goes.
As Will Rogers so aptly said years ago, "I am not a member of an organized political party. I am a Democrat."

|
Two months out from a midterm, so, so dumb. He is a political liability to Obama and it is only a matter of time until he resigns.

If you did care you would give a shit about the Obama administration alienating it's own base. Fucking geniuses up there I tell you, that is a superduper way to win elections, isnt it?
