The list of progressives who we liked in 2008 and earlier, but whom we now dislike, keeps growing.

13. It's not dislike. It's frustration.
We will still defer to Joan Walsh on more than one occasion. Hamsher is a waste...her rhetoric was always off. But Walsh is fine. She's complaining over something that is not really what we should be talking about. She should be motivating the base to vote or deal with Republicans who want to even make The Pill illegal--instead she's focusing on this shit during a period of a serious election...so the reactions you see here is one of frustration and Walsh's whinge on this borders on a whine because we have more important and pressing things to worry about than the tone of the WH house to get people motivated. We need people out there no matter what and she should focus on that. The mere fact that this is the talk of DU is just as ridiculous.

9. She was horrible ...
She deserves to get thrown under the bus, and for the bus to back up over her a few times ...

35% of the country would get cheese graters out and shave the skin off their foreheads if the republican party told them that was what the founding fathers intended ... She gets on the air as a "progressive" voice and is VERY DISAPPOINTED in a darn good campaign slogan, "08 was about changing the guard, 10 is about guarding the change" because it assumes the change is done ...

WTF, a month out for an election that could flip the house to the lunatics, and she is nitpicking a campaign slogan like that?

She was THAT bad, that Mathews went home to his liberal roots and actually almost started to raise his voice and get emotional in supporting Obama as a progressive ... She was THAT bad with it ...

14. I have the same issues with her statements.
We have more important things to deal with and she's worried about the language from the WH---but then again she is a pundit like most others.

10. Sorry, but it is "grammar police" time...
I've been seeing this more and more here lately, and I don't want us to start looking like FR, so......

there - In that place
their - belonging to them
they're - they are

Again, sorry, but sometimes I simply can't stop myself.

11. So
we're hating Joan Walsh now? Count me out, because I happen to adore Joan, and beyond that, she's right. The tone and message suck. You don't browbeat people into voting. Just look how pissed off people are right here on DU. Is that the reaction they are trying to get?

Somebody had better tell Rachel and Keith to stay in line or they're next...

15. She was wrong ...
First off, Olbermann had a clip from the white house propping him and Rachel Maddow up ...

Second, again, it is a month out from the election, it is time to circle the wagons and try to stave off rabid republicans from taking the house ...

Darell Issa can't wait to spend the next two years investigating the ever loving snot out of the admin, I mean, THAT is what the next two years are going to be if they win the house, and she is VERY disappointined in the language of a slogan?

16. I have no problem with circling the wagons
but I think they are going about the wrong way. Berating people into doing something rarely works. As many have said here, most of us are going to vote Dem no matter what. But what about those people who aren't so involved with the politcal process? I think President Obama and VP Biden can do much better - I saw them do much better two years ago.
