5. Oh Babs, it was GREAT!
Made up for not being able to go the One Nation Rally -- and my daughter got to join me!!

I was afraid for his energy level, but you know how it is when you are doing what you were meant to do. I think that's what it is for him - he just believes in this with all his heart and soul. I am a very lucky woman to have been in the Hed Ed pavilion at Univ Wash today! The Obama love was everywhere in Seattle today!

2. I'd like to think of the lack of people Bush used to get at his
campaign rallies. Where he had to get those rallies and have most people pay to get in. Remember and it was invitation only. Look at those crowds. And look at Clinton's crowds - doesn't it make you proud that the Democrats can still pack em in. And the republicans have to have the billionaires pay for people to show up.

3. The GOPers think they can "Cater the Election"....just as they cater Parties, weddings, etc
Only diff is how they cater people to attend their functions to give the false impression of being credible...

no sale as they are exposed as devious cunning assholes trying to buy the election

singing "God Bless America," "Lean On Me," "Amazing Grace." VERY moving! We all joined in. It's GREAT to be a Democrat!

19. Terrific day!
I asked around to anyone seated near me if they were on DU. Nobody was. And there I was, practically surrounded by DU-ers. I should have worn a DU t-shirt, or something...

9. CBS Had A Camera Crew When Sarah Kicked Exrpress
earlier this week. They promo-ed the shit out of her prior to the rally appearance on CBS Radio News every hour - which is what our local "progressive" station airs. Then Katy Couric led with it as the main story. No shots of pitiful crowd however - just Ms. Palin being all snotty and snarky, hateful.

15. I watched it online.
The crowd was screaming and very enthusiastic. When the media speaks of a lack of enthusiasm they must be referring to themselves.

14. The bit they had on the local news was awesome! You could barely hear
Patty Murray introduce him, and afterward the students were being interviewed and were rarin' to go! "I'm going to go home and mail in my ballot TODAY!" "I'm going to get involved and volunteer!"

An attendee called in to Norman Goldman's show and said that essentially he felt Obama said he'd 'learned what he's done wrong, he's going to get it right, and look out!' The guy said Obama really inspired him!

And afterward there were people outside with their signs showing Obama w/a Hitler moustache and he said they looked like they were ready to fight and all people did was laugh at them. I forget what he said somebody yelled at them, but a big CROWD of people just laughed! Isn't that great! He said they ended up almost looking embarrassed.

What a day! So sorry I missed it -- and he was right in my neighborhood early in the morning and I didn't fucking know! I would have stood on the street to give him a thumbs up as he drove by. Oh well.

As he said, send in your ballot TODAY. Not tomorrow, not in a day or two, TODAY! :patriot:

20. Yeah - it was funny
(the guy with the Hitler 'stache sign). One student walked up to him and said: "Fascism...socialism...what is it? You can't have it both ways"!!!! Would expect it would have been very embarrassing for sign-holder, if he had any concept of anything...

18. Despite his being a socialist and a secret Muslin, the man
seems to generate some palpable enthusiasm.

And Patty Murray absolutely deserves re-election.
