Candidates that refuse to answer questions or debate... |
|
How does the public expect to get answers if they are elected when they won't answer them as candidates?
Why would the voters support such candidates especially if they claim that government isn't doing anything. Isn't part of providing answers or responses a vital part of helping the voters understand what is happening?

2. We have such a candidate in Washington |

Good ol Dino Rossi. I think this is why he may go down in flames once again. I want to hear one moderator ask the question. The question in regards to putting down the government all the while campaigning for a government job. I would love to hear a republican answer that question during a debate. Especially a tea party republican.

I am sick of listening to his ads on TV, and I only watched one debate, but he hasn't changed one bit from the past two times he ran for governor!

3. This was the goal of the Citizens United decision ... |
|
Why talk with the people when you can talk AT them.
All a candidate needs to do is indicate that they will vote the way a particular corporate or industry group wants.
With that done ... the money will flow to groups called something like "Americans for American Exceptionalism".
That group will them run endless ads that favor the candidate ... the ads will explain how wonderful the candidate is, how they support "family values" and the "constitution" ... and, that same group will run other ads too ... ads that explain how the opponent "follows the teachings of Hitler, Mao and Stalin, while also sleeping with farm animals" ...
Why would the candidate EVER take a direct question? A direct question might result in an actual answer, an answer that would make one's extreme views clear. Can't have that.
All you need to do is put the ads on shows like ... Dancing with the Stars, or ... some version of Fear Factor ... and you have reached your target audience.
