Is Reid's Claim of Great Ground Game Accurate?
Did you see Harry on Lawrence O'Donnell last night? He actually looked alive and fiesty!! Anyway, I noticed a point he slipped in. He said something about having the biggest on-the-ground operation anywhere since the 2008 election! I often thought that a long-term senator (and one who is the Majority Leader)must have a strong on-the-ground, get the Dem's out voting, machine. I know...everybody hates Harry in Nevada (and, personally, I can't figure out why---he didn't collapse the economy). Does anyone have any inside info on what Harry was talking about? Does he have a strong machine?

1. NV was a hotly contested battleground state in 2008. Should have excellent assets available. n/t

2. Angle is not the type to build a good ground game
Building a good ground game takes work. Angle has been more interested in going on Fox News and raising money using the direct mail compaanies who take a 90%+ commission on the money raised. ON the other hand, most of the population of Nevada live in two cities and so this may not be as big of an issue as in other states.

I tend to believe Senator Reid on this claim

4. Nothing candidates say about their chances...
...in a close contest is believable at this point.

Both will say they have the better GOTV, that they are surging, that they have more committed volunteers, that voters are starting to "get it", blah, blah, blah, blah.

This is how you try to spin the media and fire up your supporters to close out a campaign.

They all do the same thing.

5. Last night Rachel had a reporter from there in Nevada. He is
supposed to be the best political reporter in the state.
Reid has a chance if they get the Hispanic Vote out.
Naturally they need to get all voters out but this reporter
says the Hispanics there can put Reif over the top..

This may be why groups have tried to suppress the Hispanic
Vote. You know that "Do Not Vote" ad focused on Hispanics.

6. Harry has also said that his internal polls have consistently shown him with a 5-6 point lead
