People too young may not remember when Brown was first governor. In 1976 he entered the presidential race late. He won a string of primaries. In fact, a lot of people thought that had Brown entered the race early on that he would have been the nominee instead of Jimmy Carter. In fact, in 1976, every primary Jerry was on the ballot Jimmy Carter lost. tuam convinced that had Jerry been willing to kiss all the right butts he would have one day gotten the Democratic nomination for president.
He was a great governor ripped by the take me back to the 1800's right wingers for bringing technology to California, realizing where things like computers were going to take us. He left the state with a record budget surplus.
Hm winning his old job back is the feel good story of the day.
His father Pat Brown was the greatest governor in the history of th state.

4. It's why we call it the Republic of California. |

Of course, I agree with every word. :)
And let's not forget our terrific boxer, Barbara Boxer.
We had a great night here in the Golden State.
