I truly thank Mitch McConnell. |
|
He just gave a wake-up call that tipped the hand of the GOP Agenda.
No cooperation. No bipartisanship. No concensus building.
Just bullying and a pure continued jockeying for power.
Democratic leaders -- including President Obama. You have just been presented with the gift of clarity and reality. A roadmap of what you need to be doing.
Will you take that gift and actually deal with the GOP on their terms?

5. No spin -- Simple reality |
|
McConnell gave a speech today in which he basically said that unless the Democrats totally capitulate and give the GOP exactly what it wants, there will be no negotiation...no compromise....no working together to solve our serious problems.
In other words, he basically said "No way are we going to compromise on anything."
He reaffirmed the Party of No strategy -- AND he defended his earlier statement that the main goal of the GOP is to defeat Obama.
That should make it pretty clear to Democrats that waffling and namby-pamby "cooperation" with them is useless.

6. The did the same thing in 2010, when they announced that they wanted him to fail |

That didn't seem to stop those who advocated against this president daily, everywhere......including here. In fact, most of those folks are still here, doing the exact same thing now. These are folks that don't give a damn about policy or anything else, and even they know that what they are preaching will only result in good things for the GOP. period.

7. Just like he flip flopped on Cuba policy |
|
All of his political life he condemned the US embargo on Cuba as useless and counterproductive, including during his campaign.
Then he came to campaign in Miami. Guess what? Not even a whisp of compromise. He announced to the CANF that the embagro on Cuba will stand as long as he is president. Flip flop.
He kept the promise he made to the RW Cuban exile CANF in Miami.
The embargo stands.
Most likely to be ratcheted up now.
