1. Nice sentiments, but too late.
Compromise with the Republicans is now an absolute necessity, and we can't do anything about it.

4. good man. I refuse to compromise too, but
I just recognize that we're not going to get our way at all for the next two years. But Obama can at least keep the republicans from getting too much of the stuff on their agenda, I guess.

I don't have to call them names either.

Democrats becoming GOP lite since the 1980's, and I have never been able to reconcile my feelings and beliefs with the "sensible" compromising bullshit politicians in the Party.

I guess I just don't fit into the Dems big tent, and it is time for me to move elsewhere.

24. The 'centrists' lost in droves Tuesday
All of my Democrats won on Tuesday. I am with you. I'm a liberal Democrat, and that centrism which has now been roundly repudiated, has got to go.

25. I'm a very liberal, left of the left, liberal.

But I'm not trying to run a country that is full of moderates, liberals, conservatives, etc.

Obama must govern the ENTIRE nation. Not just us. We are a center-left nation, as proven by the '08 election results, and that's exactly where our President should be governing from.

28. Ah . . . the voice of reason and sanity.
I'm a liberal too, but like you, I'm realistic enough to know that the President is President of the entire country, not just liberals. He can't tell 75 percent of the country to fuck off and govern based on what only 20 percent (progressives) of the country want.
