Seriously.

Many of you have made me proud to be a Democrat and a DUer, your passion, your commitment, your willingness to hold the President/Democrats accountable when they disappoint but your unwavering support for the overall mission is what we need and will carry us to victory in 2012.

However there are others who seem more intent on tearing down this president and other Democrats than you do winning this past week or in 2012.

Lets all come together, realize that why we may have some internal differences, our real opposition is not the President or other Democrats.

4. The sine qua non of anything is the WORK that needs to be done.
People need to pay a little less attention mouthy anonymous nothings on the internet, especially those who tell you that you don't know what you do in fact know.

Self-fulfilling prophecy is one of the most powerful poisons known to humanity.

10. I think that many who make their demands are also spineless,

cause criticizing in the negative and snark indictments all of the time,
is all that they do....and that's easy, i.e., spineless.

12. I will vote to reelect him because of the Supreme Court
but the party (and the President) need to start showing some courage and stop being "cautious" on what they believe are politically controversial issues.

A lot of people want to see leadership. Leadership requires political courage.
Political courage means there are times one takes a stand for what's morally right, regardless of public opinion.

Reagan, as much as I despised him, demonstrated this by being staunchly anti-choice on abortion, even though the country was strongly pro-choice. The voters didn't mind, they actually responded positively because he TOOK A STAND and didn't waffle. The country wants authenticity.

The Democrats could start by including marriage equality in the platform.

A symbolic move, I know, but one that would resonate worldwide.
