Rasmussen: American people do not support investigations |
Of course, this is not the title of the post on the Rasmussen website, but only 40 % support it, 44% oppose it, and 16% are not sure. Voters Have Mixed Feelings About GOP Plans to Investigate Obama http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/november_2010/voters_have_mixed_feelings_about_gop_plans_to_investigate_obama

1. Repubs want us to compromise? Here's a compromise. |
For every investigation they open on Obama, we open an investigation on Bushco.
Let's see which ones have legs.

2. We should harp on the cost of these investigations |
Focus on taxpayer money wasted. That seems to be the only thing people hear. Frame it as "wasting millions of taxpayer money on a witchhunt." And we should get out ahead of it NOW rather than winding up in our perpetual defensive crouch long after they have framed the argument.

6. I'm surprised almost anyone would support investigations. Because it's not |
like the state of the nation is hunky dory and Congress has nothing better to do.

7. 40% is a rather large number who supports investigations.... |
which leads me to believe that just like the year long worth of polls that it took to manipulate the electorate into voting for Republicans in 2010, this poll is meant to manipulate public opinion once more.......as they need to grow that number, and what better way than to start out with polling as early as possible? After all, that is what they do best; shape public opinion. This is obviously their starting point, and it means that they only have to work at convincing an addition 15% of the populace to end up in good shape.

8. If they open up an investigation |
And then we open up an investigation, then they can't cry about the cost.
