I am ok with Pelosi as the minority leader although I could be open for her replacement... |

But hell if I'm going to support a Blue Dog Democrat like Heath Shuler taking over as minority leader.
We still have control of the Senate and Obama is still president, I do not want a minority leader that is going to rollover and play dead with the demands from the new majority leaders in the house. I've tolerated blue dog dems in the past because some of the districts they represented were pretty conservative parts of their state. But to have the Blue Dogs take over as minority leader to me says they'll just let Boenher and his ilk do whatever they want without any fight back.
Give me Pelosi or at least give me someone more progressive than Pelosi. Personally if Shuler switched parties we haven't lost a thing.

1. We're not going to see a swing to the left. |
|
Pelosi staying on (preventing a swing to the center) is the best we can realistically hope for.

Moving to the center is what the CW calls for, but is the exact wrong message to take from this election.

The Progressive Caucus is now larger than the Blue Dogs and "New Dems" COMBINED.
I think Pelosi will work MORE progressively now that she doesn't have to give full-time hand jobs to the centrists and the regressives to get anything done.
I vote for Nancy.
Or for an even MORE progressive member like Jan Schakowsky or Henry Waxman.

I just wish she was a little better communicator. She's great behind the scenes and running things, but she doesn't do well in interviews.
