I don't like this deal. I don't support this deal. I want it blocked. BUT I support our President! |

It is so easy to do one of two things. Criticize the hell out of the President, call him names, call him a sellout, call him a one termer OR you can just accept everything as is and praise the deal. I will do neither.
I don't like anything about this deal, I don't like the way that Congress handled this (REMEMBER they chose not to act before the midterms), I don't like the way the White House handled it.
I want this deal blocked, but I don't know what we would get instead. If time runs out and the tax question is handled by the Republican lead House of Representatives it could end up worse than what have now, so it's hard for me to scream bloody murder.
If we spend the next two years educating the public, keeping the issue in the spotlight, we might keep a John Boehner led Congress from actually writing a worse tax policy if we can reclaim the House in 2012 and write a better policy.
I support our President and hope that he, Pelosi and Reid will get this thing right. Its too early to know the answer.

1. I like that you highlight educating the public |
|
That doesn't happen with back room deals like this.
The President is a good man. I hope he changes his methods.

2. This was a lose/lose for the President. |
|
We are not happy with this "compromise" and most of us are complaining about the rich getting their tax cuts for another two years. But if President Obama didn't take the deal, the unemployed would be left out in the cold with no safety net and the middle class would lose their tax cuts as of Jan. 1st. We would still not be happy about that and would be still bitching and moaning and complaining. We should be blaming those SOBs, the repukes, for this. They are hypocrites wringing their hands over the deficit but are willing to add to the deficit for their donors and rich friends.

3. What deal are you referring to? Do you mean the lastest Korean Manufacturing deal? |
|
Well, Mr Obama just cut another NAFTA deal with Korea.. that will cost America thousands of jobs. (I don't care where the cars are made)
