Everybody is speculating this idiot is SICK with no evidence |
|
There has been no doctor come out in public who has evaluated and treated him and as soon as this happened he's mentally ill .Let this had been a man of Arab decent or an African American male he would have been branded a TERRORIST!! immediately but because he's a white guy people and the media have been covering for this TERRORIST!!!black radio is asking the question why he isn't called a TERRORIST!!!

3. No. Willfully ignorant, but not sick. |
|
The automatic assumption that this guy is mentally ill is an insult to anyone who carries a mental health diagnosis.

5. I have known a number of right wingers in my life time ... |
|
I may disagree with their political viewpoints but I didn't think they were "sick".
One of the biggest problems we have today in this country is the absolute hatred that exists between the political parties. We need to respectfully debate our difference and find solutions that will improve our country and all of our lives.
I grew up in the 50s and the 60s. The two parties often worked together in those days, a lot of progress was made.

most PEOPLE, whether we vote democrat, republican, libertarian, or green actually have quite a lot in common. in a rational world political parties would be held accountable and the yard stick would be the quality of live for the avearge joe... perhaps the world was rational in the 50's and 60's, today it is not, it is skewed for the ultra rich to rape us all and enabled by both political parties while basically very very few like kuchinch or sanders actually work for common people. this alienates many, and decreases interest in politics in general for many people. but hey, tv has lots of good shit on....

11. I definitely agree that today citizens are not as important as corporations ... |
|
in this nation.
Our politicians do not seem to care about the average citizen and his quality of life. Unfortunately that includes our own party. My father, a live long Democrat, died in the sixties. He would be very disappointed in the Democratic Party today.
Imagine the heathcare reform that could have passed if only our party would have been interested in our citizens rather than drug companies, insurance companies, doctors and lawyers.

my best friend in the whole world is a mccain voting far right republican.... but get this.....me, the far left liberal, i own a gun which is kept in my fathers gun safe in the usa, he, far right, does not like guns and refuses to have one in the house with his children.....
my friend since childhood is not sick, he votes as he wishes, i think he is duped because he is a us postal worker and is anti union and votes republican, he thinks i am odd for voting socialsit and communist even though i have an MA and could "probably make a lot of money with it if i wanted to" as he says (history ma, so not really true anyway)
we have been friends since we were 12, before we understood a damn thing about politics
do we each think the other one votes strangely???? of course
do we think that the other one is crazy???? hell no! plus he likes to listen to me tell stories about protests and the like. his father also votes republican and i truly do love going on camping trips with the 3 generations of his family because they are such kind, generous people. the way we vote doesnt matter. we talk enough politics to make sure we disagree and that is it, then we talk family, kids etc.
his dad walked into the basement angry one day that "some assholes blocked the expressway last night, i was late and slep for shit" and i grinned and told him i was one of those anti war protestors on lake shore drive, he told me i was lucky i didnt get shot by some asshole with road rage (this is chicago) but i know that he didnt mean by a repubican, hell he hates guns and refuses to own one. you know what we did together??? i packed him a bong to help him relax, he later came back down with a joint to smoke and i told him how the coppers "caged" us after the march and we both agreed that the cops/govt went too far and should let people protest.
these people are not tea baggers but they are die hard republicans drawn to libertarianism because they want the govt to leave them and their grass alone....these people are not stupid, they are educated,

2. The Ft. Hood shooter was mentally disturbed. |
|
But no one had a problem connecting what he did to violent Islamic rhetoric or with calling him a terrorist. I believe the Tucson shooter is mentally ill. But I see no contradiction with calling him a terrorist too.

12. He is SICK, and a TERRORIST |
|
These are not mutually exclusive positions.
The right wing focuses their angry, paranoid, rhetoric directly at the INSANE.
That is their approach to political assassination. Don't get caught up in a specific conspiracy, just rile up enough crazies, and the rest takes care of itself.

13. Well I think we are thinking along |
|
the same and different aspects. Those I feel are the same. The thought that he is somehow mentally unstable. Anybody can say that about anyone on a bad day. And will utter the words out of their mouths that the person who does something contrary to their idea of normal is crazy!!!!
The difference I see. He could be just a cold blooded killer. And acted on what he wanted to do. I believe all he needed was a reason to be validated and he was a down with it. Not to mention of his forever being remembered as the who took it for the cause.

16. There's *plenty* of evidence. |
|
You've confused "evidence" with "proof". There are mountains of evidence that the guy was mentally ill...
...which doesn't mean that other motivations must be removed from the table.
