Indeed Obama has had to walk a fine line.

2. Its not Obama who's on the wrong side of this revolution.

Its the overall issue of US aid to Egypt.

The population are acutely aware that rather than the aid being used for the helicopters and tanks etc a substantial amount of it is used to pay inflated wages to Mubarak's Central Security Force which buys their loyalty.

In effect the US is funding the defeat of the protesters.
