Newsflash: Obama did an interview with O'Reilly in '08, yet still managed to get elected...
Edited on Sun Feb-06-11 11:38 PM by Clio the Leo
.... an interview which O'Reilly aired over a series of three nights if I remember correctly.

So the reason "why Obama did an interview with O'Reilly tonight" is "because it went so well the last time."

O'Reilly: "After talking to Senator Obama, I have a new found respect for him...."

Tonight...

Besides, O'Reilly starting the interview by THANKING BARACK OBAMA for "saving" the FOX NEWS REPORTERS ........ well, that was priceless.

1. Obama did extremely well...
And millions of Americans watched him coming away with the impression that he's not afraid to sit down with his worst critics.

The fact he handled it well, without any type of confrontation, will play well to the American people and remind them why they voted for him in 2008 - because he's steady and calm.

2. in a head to head match up with ANYONE the GOP wants to put in front of him...
.... he'd "win" easily. He's intelligent without being aloof. Calm without sounding weak. He's confident without being cold.

I say it all the time. The ONLY person who can beat Barack Obama .... is Barack Obama.

8. I think that is way too much reality for the folks at whom it is aimed, I'm afraid.
There is an old saying, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

As I am fond of saying, you cannot be afraid of FNC. You have to do your best to take them on.
