A letter from Pres. Obama...

My father passed away in November at the age of 58. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. His death was due, in part, to medical issues brought on by Agent Orange.

Today, this letter and certificate came in the mail.



I know it's not much - but it made my mom very happy.

This, of course, being the first Valentine's Day without her husband of 27 years.

And if it made your mom happy that's all that really matters

When my mother died it was rather hard on my father. She died 11 days before their 45th wedding anniversary and 35 days before Valentine's Day.
Tough to deal with something like that around important days.

That is a very touching note to get from the President. I am sure it meant a lot to your mother.

Tell your mom how much her husband's sacrifices have meant to us: a great deal. Everything in that beautiful letter is true.
