2. It's very polished. And it will fool many, at least at first, into thinking it's a pro-Obama ad.

Including the President's supporters who may be disappointed with him. It could get their attention and make them think twice.

Bravo, Mr. Rove.

3. I agree. Yesterday Ed Schultz spent his entire radio show talking about how Obama's
roll-out ad was horribly ineffective. It pained me to disagree with that assessment.

If the Democrats don't start fighting back hard now, we will be doomed.

The only thing we have going for us right now is the lack of a strong Republican contender. But, we can't bank on that being the only weapon in our arsenal.

We must fight!

16. Effective? Really?
I just think it looks stupid.

I'll believe it's "effective" when it starts actually causing his numbers to drop. Is a dignified response to a POS ad like THAT even possible? Does anybody think that's there's a real danger of it getting Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Romney, T-Paw, et. al elected????
:wtf:

21. How can anybody claim that it's effective
when it hasn't actually, you know, DONE anything (at least not yet). Has there been some recent polling on the ad or something? Is it influencing people?

23. Oh lighten up...
It's entertaining in a stupid way but is effective in twisting things in a waybthat conservatives will respond to....and put a subconscious image in the minds of swing voters.

No I don't have scientific data. just an opinion.

I guess it just might be dumb enough for the teabaggers to enjoy. I just think that it looks freakin' stupid and juvenile (like teabaggers).

4. This should be President Obama's response ad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzSVOcgKq04

There is so much win in that video that the video alone would probably win him reelection :D.

5. With editing that selective
you could make any point you wanted to. I'm sure you could even find enough half quotes and off the cuff statements by Obama, Biden, and all of the other Democrats to make a 30 second spot arguing that cute fuzzy puppies are evil and will destroy you. The whole unicorn on a rainbow thing was totally childish as well.

That said, I think the republicans, conservatives, Obama haters, and everyone else who is going to work against Obama in 2012 is going to see this ad and take it seriously. This has to be a wake up call for Obama supporters (including those that will be holding their noses to vote for Obama) that it is time to stand up and stand together to keep the White House blue (or at least not red).

14. Political Wire reports it already had 665,000 views as compared to Obama's launch video of 168,000
Parody of Obama Launch More Popular

The National Republican Senatorial Committee's parody of President Obama's 2012 campaign launch, released Friday, now has 665,000 views as compared to Obama's real launch video from yesterday which is at just 168,000 views.

Ben Smith notes YouTube's metrics "tend to lag a bit, but the numbers suggest that -- energy-wise -- we're in 2010, not 2008."

An alternate explanation: Parody has more viral potential than reality.

15. Interesting.
Could it be that a lot of people are viewing it at the actual site

Now here are the stats from YouTube:

GOP video: 2,992 likes, 725 dislikes

Obama video: 2,209 likes, 1,793 dislikes

How many on the left do you suppose are among the dislike group for both videos?

Here is Paul Ryan's video stats: 466 likes, 40 dislikes

Americans are emboldening the GOP.

22. What is the core message for 2012?
Hope and Change was great for 2008.
Any one guess what it will be for 2012?
