1. Always amazed that Democrats either Run Scared or Play Defense -- Never Attack
By their approach it keeps the focus on somehow the only way to save money is to reform entitlements, etc...instead of looking to the real solutions like raising taxes on the rich, cutting war spending, etc.

4. Van Hollen pointed out Ryan is cutting top rate for individuals and corporations.
Ryan cuts both from 35% to 25%. We get the same Republican PR bullsh*t here, as always--these people are the 'job creators'--which is just not true. Also, Ryan retains all the oil and gas subsidies, as well.

I think Van Hollen is really pissed. It shows in his voice. He should be. The media is eating up Ryan's 'courageous, bold' plan.

He also points out that Ryan's 'voucher' plan for Social Security would leave seniors unable to buy insurance. Remember Medicare was created because seniors could not even get coverage--let alone, affordable coverage.

3. Andrea Mitchell broke it off only 9 minutes into her program
But I found it on C-Span2.

Thanks for posting. Van Hollen is being specific about what the Republicans are proposing and how it's the same old agenda dressed up in pretty language.

9. Sorry I missed it. Van Hollen's a pretty good guy, represents
my friend's MD District (and LOTS of other libs/progs in suburban Maryland.)

5. The pile that Ryan is shoveling are cuts of services to those who need it.. and cuts
on taxes for those who don't.

8. The Plumline: Chris Van Hollen quote sums up Ryan's plan
“To govern is to choose, and it is not courageous to protect tax breaks for millionaires, oil companies, and other big money special interests while slashing our investments in education, ending the current health care guarantees for seniors on Medicare, and denying health care coverage to tens of millions of Americans. That’s not courageous, it’s wrong.”
