I think it's fairly clear that your post is meant to be a sideways swipe in the Obama Wars engulfing DU.

Ironicallu, I'm not entirely sure whether the subtext is "and Obama is one, and people who oppose him are bad and wrong" or "and Obama isn't one, and people who support him are bad and wrong", but I'm reasonably certain that you meant to imply one of those two while maintaining plausible deniability, and that looking over your posting history would reveal which.

What you actually said is completely inoffensive. I don't think it's unreasonable to read an insulting subtext into it, however, I'm afraid.

I think you would get better results with a less disingenuous post, to be honest.

big problem now. With all the compromising and leaning toward the right, I feel the current POTUS has shown he's earned many BIG DONORS from TPTB! And it doesn't seem like the Repukes have any real winners to oppose him yet.

A dream is only a dream after all. But HOPE & CHANGE was supposed to be "reality!" I realize Obama was never my No.1 choice, but I DID work my butt off for him. I did buy a LOT of his memorabilia so maybe it isn't a complete loss. After all, even if he never achieves all that much, the FIRST elected black President should reap some returns. Some people have actually given me "more" stuff than I bought... they don't want it anymore. And I did spend more money than I ever did for ANY other candidate in my life! Have a real nice stash, now I just have to wait to unload it when the time comes!
