28 Republicans and 40 Democrats voted no.

4 Republicans and 10 Democrats did not vote.

Democrats and no/non-voters totaled 224.

Even with the four non-voting Republicans, he would have been 8 votes short, which would have to come from Democrats.

It was a CR to keep the government running for a few more days until the deal is finalized in writing and can be voted on. That will be next week sometime. The CR was contingent on the larger deal. That's why it was voted on in at the last minute.

It still wouldn't have passed without Democratic support.

It shows that 28 Republicans definitely wanted a government shutdown.
