1. Talk about mixed emotions?!
I hate what it cost us to get rid of things such as getting rid of or reducing Planned Parenthood. I figure a billion for each of the social issues the freaking repubs feel are CRITICAL. Lordy

Obama's speech yesterday was great. Will he stick with it and push? The repub party (tea party) are freaking creeps, wanting to follow biblical scripture, as they read it....... Abortions, public radio and tv for spreading the truth, that is what they want to get rid of? Scary huh?

I am on SS and medicare A & B. It is nice. When I was in my late 50's I did not give SS and medicare much thought. Now that I am going on 73 years it becomes so important to who we are as a country. My husband and I would do just fine without it, but, we paid for it and didn't mind doing so. What about those that have worked their butt off working for "the man" and then thrown to the curb when they got too old to do the slave labor?
