TPM says that the budget vote was a 'stunning blow' to Boehner's leadership.
The fact that Boehner needed nearly 40 Democratic votes to pass the resolution and avoid a government shutdown was a stunning blow to his leadership, especially after he shut House Democrats out of budget negotiations and just a few days ago dismissed the need to secure any Democratic votes.

He cannot control his own caucus, let alone the Teabaggers...who are being courted by Eric Cantor for their support.

4. And check this out!

The GOP actually FAILED to get the budget spending cuts for 'this year' that they promised - they BROKE their PROMISE!
Their original promise was:
*** Cut government spending to pre-stimulus, pre-bailout levels
Will "roll back government spending to pre-stimulus, pre-bailout levels, saving at least $100 billion in the first year alone." ***

Note: $352 Million (with a 'M') is no where close to $100 Billion (with a 'B')

5. Either he'll break out the full body heat lamp tonight, cry in some beer, or stick
his head in an easy bake oven. Those are his options at this juncture.

8. How many Teabaggers voted for it?
And who (or what) primaries the Teabagger reps when they vote for a spending bill?

12. It also says something about the effectiveness of Kevin McCarthy
who had to reach out to Steny Hoyer yesterday because he knew he didn't have the Republican votes for passage.
