so, i was at that fundraiser here in chicago last night. i guess this is part of my 15 minutes of fame- DH and i were interviewed by wbez while waiting for the pres to come out. we were asked what we thought, how we felt he had done in his first 2 years, etc. i was enthusiastic, but DH had the answers when the questions turned to what we were unhappy about. guess what made the morning broadcast, and the web page.

fwiw, i think they need to work on the schpiel. the list of accomplishments, as we all know, is short, really. and the crowd was well aware of the amount of meat on the bones of some of those accomplishments. i think they need to pound on WHY they have been unable to accomplish what they were sent to do. name names.
they are trying to put forth a brand of "generation 44" or "gen 44". now, i know they need the young voters, and young volunteers. but they need to old ones just as much.
