Just the latest on our little Alaskan moose killer

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/18/chilling-expose-on-palin-to-be-released/

(CNN) – Simon & Schuster is set to release a tell-all book by a former aide to Sarah Palin that the mega publishing house is promising will provide an "explosive, up-close view" of the former Alaska governor.

The upcoming book, by former aide Frank Bailey, will be released May 24 and promises to be a "chilling expose," according to Howard Books, the imprint of Simon & Schuster that is publishing the book.

Or Just the General Outlook by the Republicans themselves

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/19/poll-shows-gop-not-happy-with-its-prez-candidates/

Washington (CNN) - As the Republican presidential primary race continues its slow march out of the gate, a new poll suggests likely GOP voters are significantly less satisfied with the potential field of contenders than they were four years ago.

Less than 50 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents give positive marks to the still-in-flux GOP presidential field, down markedly from 2008 when nearly two-thirds said they were happy with that cycle's crop of candidates, according to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll.

1. Bush proved it's not the person...it's the money, the tactics, the messaging, the smearing,
the lying, the polarization, the fear, the hate. And the money.

6. That is exactly what my husband says..
He says this is how the Nazis started, but this is a different time and place and with the internuts (yeah I know how I spelled that ;) ) the craziness can be exposed .. they still can do a lot of damage with their misinformation..but we have a much better response to the lies now and that keeps them from becoming ingrained

There are a LOT more Democrats up for re-election this time than in 2008.. but the craziness factor of the top of the R ticket, may very well help us

4. You don't fix what isn't broken.
Under the current admin you have many Republicans doing the advising and decision making, the money is still flowing upward, and GOP policy is mostly being continued and implemented. On top of all those things the Republicans get to blame the nasty socialist Democrats for doing the very things they support.

It's not just you, since there is me also. and probably more.

It's a laugh a minute (though I know we must work as if they had someone serious).

8. They'll run a boring "respectable" White Guy ultimately
Someone like Mittens or Pawlenty or Daniels, who will come across as "adult" and responsible, and won't really say what the GOP agenda is, apart from the usual crap about creating an environment for economic growth, blah, blah, blah.

i *might* grant and exception for poppy.

much as a loathe him for many thing, he did understood how government actually works, so that *may* disqualify him from keystone kop status. on the other hand, he probably deserves it if only for inflicing his progeny on the world.

13. Republicans know they only need to get someone who is popular into office
No brains or experienced required since the Republican Presidents aren't ever really running things. I'm dead serious. The Powers That Be, whoever they are, whether corporations or Skull and Bones or the Koch brothers are who makes policy and pays the rent. All republican politicians are just their servants.
